Famous Designs

Elie Saab gowns are a favourite of the rich, famous, powerful and royal the world over. It is through these well-respected women of society that his reputation and business continues to flourish far beyond what a young Lebanese boy from Beirut could have ever dreamed of.

Whilst studying his designs, it is easy to understand how so many women have been enchanted with his gowns. Whimsical and fairy-tale like, Saab pays close attention to detail to create magical masterpieces. These are not simply haute couture gowns, these are works of art created by a designer genius. Saab often incorporates the seasons into his designs, using beautiful crystals to tell the story. By paying attention and understanding the feminine shape, Saab builds on that fairy-tale childhood fantasy of having the perfect gown that turns heads whilst enhancing all the right features.

In 2002, Elie Saab gained invaluable media attention when Halle Berry, pictured top right, wore one of his designs to the Academy Awards. As an Academy Award winner, the media demanded to know who the designer was that designed her gown. Elie was bombarded with interviews for the next 24 hours afterwards.
