The key to the beautiful masterpieces Elie Saab creates is rich, quality fabrics and careful construction.  Saab finds inspiration in working with rich beautiful fabrics such as taffeta, organza and satin. Both the taffeta and organza have silk properties in them. It is these silk properties that provide a smooth, soft texture whilst reflecting light, thus giving a shine to the fabric. The satin used is often intertwined with muslin and lace.
Saab is as famously known for the high quality embellishments he uses in addition to beautiful, rich fabrics. Favourite embellishments used include precisely-cut Swarovski crystals, sequins and semi-precious stones.
